I am a trained active listener in providing emotional support and a senior volunteer at Samaritans Mumbai, a distress and suicide prevention helpline. I have worked with Manas Foundation as a Trainer and has conducted extensive trainings on gender sensitisation and professional behavior with Uber driver partners. I have a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from S.N.D.T University.
I was first introduced to psychology 8 years ago since then there is no looking back. My knowledge and training in the field has contributed immensely to my professional as well as my personal growth. I believe every individual has the key to their own problems. With support, care and a safe environment to explore their thoughts, the individual has the ability to reach their highest potential. it is this belief that encourages me to hold space for my clients which is judgement-free and empathetic to make them feel accepted and heard. In the past, I have worked with adolescents and young adults on issues such as anxiety, low self-esteem, low assertiveness, relationship issues, unemployment and loneliness.
In my sessions, I make sure that we work collaboratively towards setting and achieveing common goals. Therapy is a slow but sure process which reaps benefits in the long run. I assure you that i will be by your side while you go through this therapeutic process; unraveling mysteries about yourself and your capabilities.
In my free time, i enjoy traveling, spending time in nature, gardening, watching TV shows, cooking and reading.
